The IVY Club is a great place to have
a private event, with two versatile rooms available. Both have fantastic river views, with the smaller Commodore’s Room seating up to 50 guests, while our Main Dining Room can accommodate 100-125 guests comfortably. Our banquet staff can help you plan for wedding receptions, bridal and baby showers, class reunions, retirement parties, business meetings or birthday parties. Pool
The IVY Club offers a beautiful pool complex with a 25-yard family swim pool, a separate child’s pool, men’s and women’s locker rooms and showers, a large dining patio, snack bar and shaded Tiki bar.

The pool is open only to IVY Club members and their registered guests. Registered transient boaters are also welcome to utilize the pool. All members and guests must enter through the locker rooms and sign in.

SWIM TEAM:
Any member’s child or grandchild from the ages of 5-18 may participate in the IVY swim team. There’s no charge, so call the club office for more details or to sign up!

Slip Into Our Harbor
Enjoy the beauty of the Illinois River. The IVY Club harbor is open from April 1 – October 31 and boasts a full service harbor, including fuel and pump out services. Loopers and other boat clubs are always welcome at the IVY Club.

Float Your Boat
CRUISING
Whether you enjoy a speed boat for skiing with family, a pontoon for sipping cocktails with friends or a cruiser to explore the waters of the Illinois River, IVY Club welcomes everyone who enjoys a day on the water. Tour the various sites and boat clubs along the river or spend a day on the quiet backwaters in the sun.
RACING
IVY Club offers the sailing community racing events throughout the season.
Organized sailing races are scheduled for every Saturday morning at 10:00 am. More casual family sail races are held Wednesday nights at 6pm. Mid May – mid-September. Come and race or volunteer to crew!
And don’t miss the Remote Control Sailboat races in the South Harbor every summer Sunday at 1:00 pm.
SAILING
The IVY Club sailing program offers Adult Sailing Lessons in May of every year. Open to members and the general public. You can register either at the IVY Club by calling 309.682.5419 or by emailing Anita Johnson at ivyclub@comcast.net

Ever wonder what to do on the weekend? With over 100 events per year, there's something for everyone to enjoy! CARDBOARD BOAT RACES
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6

Get ready for one of the most entertaining days of the summer! Join us on Sunday, September 6th for our annual Cardboard Boat Race, where creativity, teamwork, and a little bit of luck all take to the water. Come cheer on the teams as they paddle their homemade cardboard creations across the river, or see which boats become part of the river! With proceeds going to The Alzheimer's Association, you can have fun and help support an amazing cause!

Membership
The IVY Club welcomes applications for membership from those who would like to join our active and friendly community. Members have use of the clubhouse, featuring casual and fine dining restaurants, banquet and meeting facilities, permanent and guest boat slips, the pool and locker rooms, plus the TikiBar and Covered Barge areas plus permanent and guest boat slips (subject to availability.)
Members are also encouraged to participate in and enjoy the many activities and dining events at the Club. Membership with IVY Club also offers reciprocal privileges to hundreds of other yacht clubs around the world.

About Us
HISTORY
OVER A HUNDRED YEARS ON THE ILLINOIS RIVER
​
The Illinois Valley Yacht and Canoe Club was founded in 1907 from several earlier clubs: the Peoria Boat Club (1877); the Peoria Canoe Club (1885); and the Peoria Yacht Club (1895).
Club members initially met at a downtown hotel, then moved to a houseboat, and by the end of the first year, built a clubhouse on pilings, about 700 feet downstream from the present location. In 1927, the club reorganized and moved its clubhouse to its current location at Mile Marker 167.9.
Many additions and improvements have been made over the years; we now boast an additional seawall, a protected harbor with a permanent breakwater, an additional deck, steel docks, our family-friendly swimming pools, a restaurant and lounge, a Tiki Bar by the pool and the lovely expanded and renovated clubhouse with its panoramic views.
